SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Summary The Test Engineer will support testing activities for the integration of new data and analytics platforms with existing source systems and downstream applications, covering both UI and non-UI applications. Key Responsibilities Develop a comprehensive testing approach for the new platforms and their integrations. Validate that the new platforms are integrated correctly with existing source systems and downstream applications. Validate that the solution delivers against defined URS and user story requirements. Perform Manual cum Automation Testing, with a strong focus on Python-based automation. Test the platforms for standard human or system errors, including outages, network issues, performance issues, and other standard error scenarios. Perform Data Validation Testing and validate data flows across source and destination systems. Understand process workflows and translate requirements and use cases into appropriate test scenarios and test cases. Work closely with platform SMEs to identify relevant test scenarios and test cases. Collaborate with end users and Product Owners to establish UAT scenarios and testing. Guide the creation of required testing assets, including Test Scripts, Test Protocols, Test Summary Reports, and Testing Process Documentation. Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage across functional, integration, resilience, and data validation scenarios. Use JIRA and Test Management tools for defect tracking and test management. Required Skills & Experience Python – Must have, with experience in Python-based test automation and data validation. Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing. Strong experience in Functional Testing and Integration Testing. Experience in Data Validation Testing and multi-system data flow validation. Experience in testing both UI and non-UI applications. Experience with Selenium is preferred. Experience with JIRA and Test Management tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand requirements, use cases, and process workflows and translate them into test scenarios and test cases. Ability to work closely with platform SMEs, end users, and Product Owners to establish appropriate testing coverage. Experience in creating and guiding the development of test scripts, test protocols, and test summary reports.
