SCALE OPERATOR

<p>We are seeking a qualified, responsible, and reliable individual to join our company as a Scale Operator.&#xa0;The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the smooth and safe day to day scale operator activities in our office and at our scales in our yard.&#xa0;</p><p><u><strong>What you're responsible for:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Greeting customers and having good customer service skills</li><li>Operating a computer to record the weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles</li><li>Logging information accurately into a centralized database</li><li>Calculating&#xa0;costs for drivers based on vehicle weight</li><li>Maintaining&#xa0;a safe, organized working environment</li><li>Working&#xa0;in our offices and yard scales</li><li>Supporting the team on the scale as an attendant, weighing trucks as they come in and&#xa0;updating reports on the computer</li><li>Sorting and processing metal scrap&#xa0;pieces</li></ul> <p><u><strong>To join our team:</strong></u></p><ul><li>General Office experience needed!</li><li>Past CASHIER&#xa0;experience is plus!</li><li>Reading, writing and basic math skills are required.</li><li>Comfortable working on a computer in Microsoft Office entering info accurately.</li><li>Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.&#xa0;</li><li>Ability to work inside &amp; outside in all-weather conditions.</li><li>Safety oriented; very important!</li><li>A high school diploma or GED&#xa0;</li><li>Computer proficiency</li><li>Experience in transportation, trucking or in an industrial yard environment is a plus.</li><li>Experience with radio communication is plus.</li></ul> <p>#corpont</p>
