The Floor Manager at The Living Room is responsible for ensuring seamless nightly operations and elevated guest experiences in a high-energy, entertainment-driven lounge setting. This leadership role requires mastery of flow, guest psychology, and pacing — supporting service, ambiance, and guest safety in collaboration with the bar, host, and security teams. This full time position has an annual salary of $90,000. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Supervise and lead service during all operational hours, maintaining rhythm, energy, and precision </li></ul><ul><li>Manage section flow, table timing, and VIP prioritization in coordination with the Maître D’ and Hosts </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure all team members are executing service with confidence, style, and warmth </li></ul><ul><li>Liaise with bar, kitchen, and security teams to ensure nightly alignment and safety </li></ul><ul><li>Greet and engage high-profile, VIP, and returning guests with professionalism and discretion </li></ul><ul><li>Resolve guest concerns swiftly, creatively, and in alignment with Faena’s elevated service culture </li></ul><ul><li>Monitor and manage ambiance (music, lighting, scent, room pacing) throughout the evening </li></ul><ul><li>Act as point of escalation for floor-level issues including overcapacity, guest behavior, or service lapses </li></ul><ul><li>Support training and onboarding of all front-of-house staff in service etiquette, menu knowledge, and nightlife protocols </li></ul><ul><li>Lead nightly pre-shift meetings and communicate key updates or programming </li></ul><ul><li>Coach team in-the-moment during service and provide follow-up notes or recognition </li></ul><ul><li>Monitor uniform compliance, team presence, and interdepartmental communication </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure venue is set to standard before doors open, and reset properly at close </li></ul><ul><li>Support with scheduling, timeclock approvals, and performance feedback </li></ul><ul><li>Assist in event execution and service logistics for programming or private functions </li></ul> <ul><li>3+ years of leadership experience in a high-end lounge, nightlife, or luxury hospitality setting </li></ul><ul><li>Deep understanding of nightlife dynamics, service pacing, and VIP handling </li></ul><ul><li>Confident leader with a polished guest-facing presence </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with POS systems, nightlife reservation platforms, and basic event coordination </li></ul><ul><li>Comfortable working evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays </li></ul>SKILLS <ul><li>Strong floor presence with fast decision-making and graceful authority </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to balance service style with crowd management and safety  </li></ul><ul><li>Charismatic communicator with emotional intelligence </li></ul><ul><li>High attention to detail in environment, staffing, and guest experience </li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT <ul><li>Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces </li></ul><ul><li>Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift </li></ul><ul><li>Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds </li></ul> All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
