LOGISTICS SPECIALIST - SUCAFINA INSTANT EMENA & AMERICAS

<p><u><strong>Summary of the role:&#xa0;</strong></u></p><p>Responsible for the optimal (cost-effective, timely, quality-service...) execution of assigned instant coffee shipments/deliveries from origin to destination.&#xa0;Work closely with head office, shippers, clients &amp; service providers (banks, shipping lines, warehouses, forwarders, local agents...) towards that end.</p><p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:</strong></u></p><p><strong>Inbound</strong></p><ul><li>Work with traders on position follow-up and any commercial issues with shippers.</li><li>Send shipping instructions to shippers (suppliers) in due time.</li><li>Place booking with shipping lines where required &amp; ensure internal database (SOL/Cargoo) accuracy.</li><li>Follow-up on sample results where required and update internal database accordingly.</li><li>Process shipping documents (including upload onto system) and payment to shippers.</li><li>Issue landing instructions to related warehouses accordingly.</li><li>Follow-up on potential claims.</li><li>Liaise closely with shippers, shipping partners &amp; end Clients where relevant to deliver the best services.</li><li>Check all assigned service invoices to approve the costs.</li><li>Check stocks in assigned warehouses on a monthly basis &amp; report accordingly.</li></ul><p><strong>Outbound</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with traders on position follow-up and any commercial issues with clients.</li><li>Send delivery instructions to transporters/warehouses in due time and ensure timely delivery.</li><li>Issue logistics documents (invoices, release documents, cover letters...) related to assigned sales &amp; instruct/ensure upload of related external documents where required.</li><li>Work closely with traders &amp; external partners to anticipate execution challenges and advise on potential solutions</li><li>Advise trading team on logistic costs for specific execution scenarios, and any other logistic aspect of a sales project/ potential business upon request.</li><li>Check all assigned service invoices to approve the costs.</li><li>Other tasks assigned by Logistics Manager.</li></ul> <p><u><strong>Qualifications and Education:</strong></u></p><ul><li>University graduate (BA or equivalent).</li><li>Focus/major in Foreign Trade, Commodity Trading, or Logistics is a plus.</li><li>Other certifications are a plus.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Experience and Technical skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li>At least 1-2 years of working experience (compulsory).</li><li>Experience in an international environment related to logistics / trade / supply chain / customer service.</li><li>Experience in coffee trade logistics is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge/practical experience in SAP.</li><li>Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.</li><li>Knowledge of collaborative tools (MS Teams, SharePoint,...).</li><li>Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.</li></ul> <p><strong>Soft skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent organizational skills (ability to prioritize, plan tasks, and respect deadlines).</li><li>Good interpersonal skills.</li><li>Teamwork skills/team spirit.</li><li>Ability to work under stress and respond to tight deadlines.</li><li>High level of autonomy/self-discipline.</li><li>Proactiveness.</li><li>Curious keen to learn and ready for new challenges.</li><li>Ability to work independently.</li></ul><p><strong>Languages:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English</li><li>Knowledge of any other language is a plus (French)</li></ul>
