<undefined><strong>General Description:</strong></undefined><br><undefined>The College of the Florida Keys is seeking an adjunct instructor for Culinary Arts. Courses are three credits and this position will teach from the Key West Campus.<br></undefined> <strong><u>Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:</u></strong><br>• Understanding of, and commitment to, Equal Access/Equal Opportunity.<br data-pasted="true">• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.<br>• Knowledge of College mission, policies, procedures, and services.<br>• Proficient in the use of technology.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills<br>• Ability to work effectively to meet the needs of diverse student populations<br><br><strong><u>Education and Qualifications:</u></strong><br>• Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience, required.<br data-pasted="true">• Minimum of five years of professional culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering, or institutional foodservice, preferred.<br>• Prior teaching experience in higher education, preferred.<br>• Experience using Canvas, preferred.<br><em style="color: inherit; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0;">(A comparable amount of training, education, or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)</em><br><br><strong><u>Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:</u></strong><strong><u>Physical Skills:</u></strong><br>• Current ServSafe® Manager Certification (or ability to obtain before teaching).<br><br><strong><u>Environmental Conditions:</u></strong><br>• Works in a culinary lab.<br><em style="color: inherit; font-weight: 400; text-indent: 0;">(Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with a disability.)</em> <p><strong style="font-weight: 700; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">This is a part-time teaching assignment.
