<undefined>General Description:</undefined> <undefined>The College of the Florida Keys is seeking an adjunct instructor for Culinary Arts. Courses are three credits and this position will teach from the Key West Campus. </undefined> Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: • Understanding of, and commitment to, Equal Access/Equal Opportunity. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Knowledge of College mission, policies, procedures, and services. • Proficient in the use of technology. • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Ability to work effectively to meet the needs of diverse student populations Education and Qualifications: • Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience, required. • Minimum of five years of professional culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering, or institutional foodservice, preferred. • Prior teaching experience in higher education, preferred. • Experience using Canvas, preferred. (A comparable amount of training, education, or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.) Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:Physical Skills: • Current ServSafe® Manager Certification (or ability to obtain before teaching). Environmental Conditions: • Works in a culinary lab. (Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with a disability.) This is a part-time teaching assignment. Adjunct Instructors earn $543 - $727 per credit hour, based on degree level.
