WE OFFER: • An exceptional culture and positive work environment • Competitive earnings • Comprehensive benefits • Personal recognition • Individual development opportunities • A clear path for career advancement! ___________________________________________________________ Shift M-F | 7:30a – 4:00p Work Location Onsite – Medina, Ohio Division Construction Team Pre-Construction Reports To President of Construction ___________________________________________________________ Job Purpose The Estimator's job is to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $50K to $5M, including ground-up construction and tenant improvements, to support successful bidding and project execution. ___________________________________________________________ Responsibilities • Bid Preparation and Analysis: Review bid documents, including plans, specifications, and RFPs, to prepare accurate cost and labor estimates while identifying potential risks and opportunities. • Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination: Determine bid packages, solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and qualify proposals for completeness and scope accuracy. • Scope Development and Documentation: Create detailed Scopes of Work and Basis of Estimate supplements, ensuring clear definitions of inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications. • Collaboration and Oversight: Work closely with Junior Estimators, Estimating Coordinators, and the Project Management team to support bid development, project hand-off, and buy-out processes. • Process Improvement and Education: Maintain pre-construction standards and procedures while pursuing continuing education to enhance estimating skills and achieve relevant certifications. ______________________________________________________ Requirements • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in commercial construction; 7-9 years acceptable without a degree. • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred but not required. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic plan reading and take-off software required. • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of project-specific General Conditions and General Requirements. • Certification and Training: Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred.
