<p>Medical Assistant - Henry Ford Health</p><p><strong>Job Title</strong></p><p>Medical Assistant -&#xa0;Employees Health&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Work Schedule</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Primary hours:</strong> 7:00 AM–3:30 PM</li><li>The schedule may occasionally flex to <strong>7:30 AM–4:00 PM</strong> based on operational needs.</li><li>Some extended hours may be required during peak periods, such as <strong>flu season</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Clinic Location</strong></p><p>6777 W. Maple Rd.West Bloomfield, MI 48322</p><p><strong>Travel Requirements</strong></p><p>This position includes <strong>some local travel</strong>. The team supports several Henry Ford Health Medical Office Buildings (MOBs) with <strong>flu immunization clinics and regulatory fit-testing requirements</strong>. Employees may be required to travel to various HFH locations to support these services as needed.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and quality patient care. <p><strong><u>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.</li><li>Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.</li><li>Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.</li><li>Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.</li><li>EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.</li><li>Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA/CMA),&#xa0;American Medical Technologists (RMA),&#xa0;National Health Career Associations Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), and&#xa0;National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) preferred.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Additional Requirements:</u></strong></p><p>Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).&#xa0;<strong>OR</strong></p><p>Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.&#xa0;<strong>OR</strong></p><p>Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).&#xa0;<strong>OR</strong></p><p>Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.&#xa0;<strong>OR</strong></p><p>Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.</p><p><strong><u>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.</li></ul>
