<p>**Responsibilities:**</p><p>Ready to make a real difference in the fast-paced world of emergency medicine? As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you'll be the go-to support person keeping our ER running smoothly! Here's what you'll be doing:</p><ul><li>**Jump into action** supporting patient care by assisting with vital signs, EKG monitoring, and other technical tasks under the guidance of our nursing and provider team</li><li>**Be the helping hand** patients need—assist with patient positioning, comfort measures, and basic care needs while they're in our care</li><li>**Keep things moving** by helping prepare treatment areas, restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is ready to go when our clinical team needs it</li><li>**Communicate like a pro** with patients and families, answering questions and providing reassurance during their ER visit</li><li>**Work as a team player** collaborating closely with nurses, providers, and other ER staff to deliver excellent patient care</li><li>**Stay sharp** by following all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized treatment environment</li><li>**Lend a hand** with patient transport, documentation support, and other tasks that keep the ER operating at peak efficiency</li><li>**Embrace the energy** of emergency medicine—no two days are the same, and you'll be part of a dynamic team that thrives on helping people when they need it most</li></ul><p>All duties performed under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider, within your scope of practice.</p> <p>**What You'll Bring to the Team:**</p><p>**Must-Haves:**</p><ul><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent—your foundation for success</li><li>BCLS certification—because safety and patient care are non-negotiable</li><li>One of the following to hit the ground running:</li><li>B-EMT certification</li><li>Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program</li><li>Completion of a formal nursing education program (2-year degree or higher)</li><li>Completion of a formal medical doctor education program</li><li>OR one (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience (with applicable certification/program completed within 12 months of hire)</li></ul><p>**Ready to Thrive:**</p><ul><li>Willingness to embrace our 180-day orientation period—we'll invest in your success</li><li>Ability to work under the direct supervision of registered nurses and providers within your scope of practice</li><li>Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, infection control, and professional excellence</li></ul><p>**Nice-to-Haves:**</p><ul><li>Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience</li><li>EMT license</li><li>Passion for emergency medicine and a track record of thriving in fast-paced environments</li></ul><p>If you've got the core qualifications and the drive to make a real impact in emergency care, we want to hear from you!</p>
