<h2>Position Details</h2> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Position:</strong> Part-Time Occupational Therapist</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Grade Levels:</strong> 3rd–5th Grade</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Setting:</strong> Self-Contained Therapeutic Day School</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Schedule:</strong> 1 Day Per Week</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Weekly Hours:</strong> Part-Time, approximately 1 day per week</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Setting:</strong> Onsite</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Dates:</strong> September 1, 2026 – June 3, 2027</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Caseload:</strong> Approximately 8 students on the assigned day</p> </li> </ul> <h2>About the Caseload</h2> <p>This position serves students with <strong>severe to profound disabilities</strong> in a highly supportive therapeutic school environment.</p> <p>Students may:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Have significant physical, developmental, and functional needs</p> </li> <li> <p>Be non-verbal or minimally verbal</p> </li> <li> <p>Utilize AAC systems to communicate</p> </li> <li> <p>Require highly individualized therapeutic support</p> </li> <li> <p>Benefit from occupational therapy services targeting functional participation and independence</p> </li> </ul> <p>The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with students with <strong>low-incidence disabilities</strong> and have experience collaborating with teams supporting students who use AAC.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Provide occupational therapy services to students in grades 3–5</p> </li> <li> <p>Support students with significant developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs</p> </li> <li> <p>Address skills related to fine motor development, sensory regulation, functional participation, and independence</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other related service providers</p> </li> <li> <p>Support students who utilize AAC and incorporate communication systems into functional activities when appropriate</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in IEP meetings and contribute OT recommendations and goals</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation</p> </li> <li> <p>Communicate effectively with school staff and multidisciplinary team members</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Active Illinois IDFPR Occupational Therapy license required</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working with students with low-incidence or significant disabilities preferred</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with AAC and students who are non-verbal is strongly preferred</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong communication and collaboration skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Compassionate, patient, and student-centered approach</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in a therapeutic or special education setting is a plus</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive hourly rate of <strong>$48.00–$63.00 per hour</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Consistent <strong>1-day-per-week schedule</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Opportunity to work with a highly specialized student population</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborative multidisciplinary environment</p> </li> <li> <p>Ongoing support from the AnthroMed team</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Why Join AnthroMed?</h2> <p>At AnthroMed Education, we believe every student deserves access to high-quality related services—and every clinician deserves the support to provide them.
