<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;" id="isPasted">The Cosumnes Community Services District <span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true">("District")</span> is seeking <span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">qualified individuals for the </span>part-time - extra help position of Site Director in the Parks and Recreation Department, Sports Division. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Under close supervision, the Site Director plans, organizes, and directs recreation enrichment activities/programs such as day camps, youth and adult sports, leisure and enrichment classes and special events specific to the assigned program area of the position. This position is used throughout the Parks and Recreation Department and responsibilities expected to be performed may vary depending upon the assignment.</p><br><strong style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;" id="isPasted"><u>Salary Information</u><br></strong>The salary range for the Site Director classification is between <strong>$21.00 - $22.79 per hour</strong>. The District typically appoints new employees at step 1 of the salary range. Consideration for an appointment higher than step 1 will be based on experience, education, or the need for unique skills or knowledge, and shall be no more than the midpoint of the salary range.<br> <br><br><strong style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;" id="isPasted"><u>Work Schedule</u></strong><br><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody" id="isPasted">The actual hours assigned may be increased or decreased at any time, depending upon the needs of the program or department.</span><br><br>
<div><em>Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered qualifying at the sole discretion of the District. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be:</em><br> <br><strong>Education and Training: </strong><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; </li><li>Completion of fifteen (15) semester units from an accredited college or university in a field closely related to the area to which the position is assigned; or actively enrolled in college or other post high school education.</li></ul><br><strong>Experience: </strong><ul><li>Six (6) months of previous experience, or equivalent community/volunteer service in the field to which the position is assigned; or one (1) previous season employed with the CSD. </li></ul><br><strong>Special Requirements: </strong><ul><li>Possession of, or the ability to obtain, First Aid and CPR/AED certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment; Certification must be maintained through employment; </li><li>Must possess, and maintain throughout employment a valid California Class "C" driver's license, with a clean driving record; </li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li></ul><br><strong>Knowledge of: </strong><ul><li>Current methods, techniques, principles, and procedures used in the planning and implementation process for a variety of children's recreational and education activities relevant to the assigned program area;</li><li>Basic principles of child development and activities that support growth;</li><li>Basic principles of customer service;</li><li>Current methods and techniques used in preparing reports, letters, activity calendar/schedule, and memos using a prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style;</li><li>Basic operation of appliances, equipment and office machines including a vacuum cleaner, heating and air conditioning unit, intrusion alarm, calculator, computer, keyboard, printers and other peripherals, copier, and fax machine;</li><li>Basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; calculation of decimals, ratios, percentages and fractions. </li></ul><br><strong>Ability to:</strong><ul><li> Effectively and tactfully communicate both orally and in writing with program participants, EGUSD personnel, CSD personnel and the public;</li><li>Analyze and use independent judgment in problem solving fairly routine situations such as responding to customer or employee problems/complaints, supervising children's activities and trips, caring for children with injuries and resolving conflicts between participants to ensure safety;</li><li>Assess potentially unsafe environments for staff and participants;</li><li>Comprehend and prepare reports and forms such as accident, incident, and behavior reports; emergency, registration, and Hold Harmless forms using a prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style;</li><li>Lead the work of others including the assigning, reviewing, planning and coordination of work; providing clear instruction and guidance on a day to day basis.</li></ul><br></div><strong id="isPasted"><u>Typical Working Conditions</u></strong> <br>Work is typically performed in an office environment and/or outside in various types of weather. Incumbents may be exposed to noise, moisture, dust, vibrations, heat and cold. Work may take place and require travel in a vehicle to and from off-site indoor and outdoor locations throughout the District.
