<p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As Sales &amp; Retention Manager, you'll take ownership of membership growth, member engagement and commercial performance across the club.</p><p>Working closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team, you'll develop strategies that improve member acquisition, retention and overall club profitability.</p><p><strong>Lead Sales Performance</strong></p><ul><li>Champion and deliver the FUNDAMENTALS sales process across the club</li><li>Coach and develop colleagues to maximise sales performance and conversion</li><li>Drive membership sales through effective lead management and member engagement</li><li>Monitor performance against KPIs and implement action plans to achieve targets</li><li>Deliver regular sales updates and performance presentations to the leadership team</li><li>Drive revenue across memberships, fitness products and secondary spend</li></ul><p><strong>Drive Member Retention</strong></p><ul><li>Create initiatives that improve member engagement and retention</li><li>Analyse retention trends and member behaviour to identify opportunities for growth</li><li>Ensure every member receives an outstanding experience throughout their fitness journey</li><li>Support delivery of member-focused campaigns, events and national initiatives</li><li>Build a culture that prioritises member satisfaction and loyalty</li></ul><p><strong>Grow the Business</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and execute creative lead-generation activity both inside and outside the club</li><li>Build relationships with local businesses, community groups and organisations through #WeMoveBusinesses</li><li>Support local marketing initiatives that drive awareness and membership growth</li><li>Identify new opportunities to increase club performance and market presence</li></ul><p><strong>Lead and Develop Others</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback to colleagues</li><li>Promote a positive, high-performance culture within the club</li><li>Lead by example through exceptional service standards and professionalism</li><li>Support recruitment, onboarding and development of future talent</li></ul><p><strong>Support Club Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with the General Manager to support day-to-day operations</li><li>Assist with Health &amp; Safety, compliance, facilities and maintenance processes</li><li>Ensure company standards of cleanliness, presentation and service are consistently maintained</li><li>Support the successful delivery of company initiatives and operational priorities</li></ul> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in sales, membership, retail, hospitality or customer-focused leadership roles</li><li>Proven ability to influence performance and achieve commercial targets</li><li>Strong leadership and coaching skills</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities</li><li>Commercial mindset and confidence working with KPIs and performance data</li><li>Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences</li><li>Positive, resilient and solutions-focused approach</li><li>Flexible to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays when required</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Experience within a fitness, leisure or membership-based business</li><li>Knowledge of lead generation, sales conversion and retention strategies</li><li>Experience developing business partnerships and community engagement initiatives</li><li>Understanding of membership sales and customer lifecycle management</li></ul> <p>Everlast Gyms is part of Frasers Group, one of the UK's most ambitious retail and fitness businesses.</p><p>We're committed to investing in our people, our clubs and our fitness offering, creating exciting opportunities for ambitious individuals who want to build rewarding careers within a growing brand.</p><p>To succeed with us, you'll embody our principles:</p><p><strong>Think Without Limits</strong></p><p>Challenge convention, identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.</p><p><strong>Own It and Back Yourself</strong></p><p>Take responsibility, deliver results and lead with confidence.</p><p><strong>Be Relevant</strong></p><p>Create meaningful experiences for our members, colleagues and communities.</p>
