What you’ll be doing:
Southdown is one of the leading providers of mental health services in Sussex. The Lighthouse is a specialist service delivered in partnership by Southdown and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We provide intensive therapy to people with personality disorder/complex emotional and relational needs, using mentalisation based treatment, peer involvement and a groups-based approach.
As a Recovery Specialist, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health support to clients with complex mental health needs. You will use the Recovery Model to create safety plans and explore mental health services or resources with clients.
It is a requirement of this role to attend mandatory face‑to‑face training sessions held primarily in Lewes, East Sussex during standard office hours. Training typically takes place approximately four to five times per year.
This role would suit candidates who want to expand on a career in mental health or develop skills working within a community setting to support people experiencing mental health challenges.
If you are passionate about providing recovery focused support to enable clients to reach their goals, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome applications from candidates with previous relevant experience such as Mental Health Support Worker, Support Worker, Social Prescriber, Case Manager, Social Worker, Care Coordinator, Mental Health Specialist or Service Coordinator.
