<span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0">Incumbents to a position in this class performs moderately difficult technical work of an engineering nature in the design, investigation, analysis, development, construction, maintenance, operation or inspection of sanitary engineering projects and programs. Incumbents must have the ability to be trained in utilizing the computer-operated drafting/design (CADD) equipment in the preparation of contract plans relating to sanitary engineering projects. Work involves the responsibility for the application of sanitary engineering principles to a variety of problems. The Assistant Sanitary Engineer may be in charge of projects in the field, supervise particular engineering activities in the office, or be engaged in a special phase of sanitary engineering investigation or research. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Sanitary Engineer who may be turned to for advice on the more difficult and technical problems.
