Group Leader - Global Sourcing
About this role
<p><strong>The role is accountable for delivering high‑quality global sourcing outcomes while ensuring effective demand management, prioritization, service levels, and reporting for internal stakeholders</strong></p><ul><li>Personally lead strategic, complex, or business‑critical sourcing across regions and business units.</li><li>Conduct end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including Market analysis, global supplier scouting, Supplier pre‑qualification and benchmarking</li><li>Provide senior sourcing expertise and hands‑on support in escalated or high‑risk situations.</li><li>Lead, manage, and develop a team of Global Sourcing Managers across regions.</li><li>Define clear goals, priorities, and expectations aligned with global business needs.</li><li>Allocate sourcing work between the Team Lead and team members based on complexity, risk, and capacity.</li><li>Act as the senior interface between internal stakeholders and the global sourcing organization.</li><li>Proactively capture and consolidate global sourcing demand across business units and functions.</li><li>Lead and coordinate global sourcing initiatives across business units (e.g. Energy from Waste, Renewable Gas, Carbon Capture, Systems & Services).</li><li>Contribute actively to strategic discussions by bringing market intelligence and sourcing insights.</li><li>Combine reporting insights with personal sourcing experience to support management decisions.</li><li>Ensure disciplined use of sourcing tools, ERP systems, and relevant processes.</li><li>Conduct performance reviews, provide continuous feedback, and support individual development plans.</li></ul>
<ul><li>10+ years' experience in sourcing or strategic procurement, team leadership, international experience</li><li>Master's/ bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or similar</li><li>Fluent English, other languages will be considered as a plus</li><li>Category management methodologies, supplier and contract management  </li><li>Player-coach leadership style with strategic thinking combined with strong analytical and negotiation skills</li><li>Experience in a senior sourcing or lead role combining operational delivery and leadership responsibilities.</li><li>Strong understanding of global markets, supplier qualification, and sourcing strategies.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex sourcing projects end to end.</li></ul><p> </p>
