Cloud Specialist | Jackson, MS | 100% Onsite | Local Candidates Only

<p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Cloud Specialist</strong> to develop and modify scalable cloud architectures supporting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.</p><p>The Cloud Specialist will ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, migrate on-premises applications and workloads to public cloud platforms, monitor infrastructure performance, and optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities :&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and modify scalable cloud architectures for IaaS and PaaS platforms.</li><li>Ensure security, compliance, data protection, and privacy across cloud environments.</li><li>Migrate on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.</li><li>Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance.</li><li>Identify and proactively resolve cloud infrastructure issues.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments.</li><li>Improve cloud performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Design controls and processes using available cloud audit tools.</li><li>Maintain current and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technologies.</li><li>Support cloud infrastructure administration and operational activities.</li></ul>

<ul><li><strong>5–6+ years of experience</strong> working with AWS or Microsoft Azure.</li><li>Prior experience working in <strong>government or regulated industry</strong> environments.</li><li>Experience with cloud migration, security, compliance, and infrastructure optimization.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency with major public cloud platforms such as <strong>AWS, Azure, or GCP</strong>.</li><li>Experience with automation and scripting languages such as <strong>Python, Bash, or PowerShell</strong>.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>cloud networking, VPCs, and firewalls</strong>.</li><li>Advanced experience with <strong>Virtual Machine (VM) management</strong>.</li><li>Strong <strong>Windows Server and Active Directory</strong> administration experience.</li><li>Strong <strong>Linux administration</strong> experience.</li></ul><p>Important Requirement</p><p><strong>Candidates must be local to Jackson, MS and available to work 100% onsite.
