Senior Radio Communications Analyst
About this role
Under general supervision of the Infrastructure Manager, this role is responsible for all aspects of the SRPMIC Public Safety voice radio communications system. This includes Radio Team supervision, maintenance, operations, programming and administration of Land Mobile Radio Communications Networks, Microwave Backhaul Networks and Mobile/Portable Radio Subscriber equipment. Recommend technical and operating decisions and develop standards for the Community and Tribal Government communications systems. This job class is treated as FLSA Exempt. This is a driving position.

Education & Experience: • Six (6) years of fulltime experience related to the support of two-way radio communications systems is required. • Two (2) years of demonstrable experience supervising a technology focused team, preferably in the area of Radio Communications is preferred. • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related engineering field is highly desired.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Motorola MotoTRBO and ASTRO P25 Phase 2 TDMA radio multi-zone simulcast trunked radio public safety voice networks and mobile data communications systems and connected devices such as subscribers. • Experience with system platforms is required. • The following are preferred: • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microwave and Fiber Backhaul Networks. • Experience using radio communications test equipment such as an antenna analyzer, RF power meters, communications service monitors and frequency counters.
Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered.

May be required to work outside normal work hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License • Will be required to successfully complete a Salt River Police Department (SRPD) background investigation and polygraph examination. • All applicants applying for jobs will be subject to Pre-Employment Drug Test and extensive Fingerprint and Background Check.
