• Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), bariatric and orthopedic service lines.

Responsibilities

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge. • Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions. • Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols. • Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff. • Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or Diploma of Nursing • One year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire);

Preferred Job Requirements:
