Contingent NP/PA-Specialist/Investigator position providing comprehensive patient care across specialty and invasive procedures in a collaborative healthcare environment.
**Schedule & Commitment**
• Contingent position requiring 2 shifts per 6-week period (1 weekend shift, 1 holiday shift) • Rotating 12-hour shifts (6 PM–6 AM and 6 AM–6 PM) • No on-call requirements
**Key Responsibilities**
• Provide comprehensive patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions across specialty and invasive procedures • Order, review, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging studies; conduct specialty consultations and escalate complex cases to attending physicians • Perform rounding activities, manage patient follow-ups, and communicate clinical findings to patients and care team members • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and participate in care coordination meetings • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters while adhering to all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in nursing (NP) or Bachelor's degree/AMA-approved Physician Assistant program (PA) with current state licensure and national certification (CNP or NCCPA). • Current RN license (NPs) or Michigan state licensure (PAs). • Current BLS and ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider certification as required by department.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, or Urology.
