What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. • Complete preventive maintenance, HVAC tune ups, and equipment inspections. • Perform HVAC system start ups and shut downs. • Locate electrical and mechanical issues using industry standard diagnostic procedures. • Clearly communicate service findings and recommended repairs to customers. • Document completed service, parts used, and time spent on each call accurately. • Follow company safety procedures and EPA refrigerant handling regulations. • Keep your service vehicle and work areas organized and ready for the next call. • Coordinate with dispatch and office staff to complete scheduled HVAC service calls.

Required

• At least 2 years of hands on HVAC service experience diagnosing and repairing residential and or light commercial HVAC systems. • EPA Certification. • Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. • Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment tune ups, and component replacement. • Working knowledge of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems. • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Valid driver’s license. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to lift and carry equipment, safely operate hand and power tools, and perform HVAC service in varying weather conditions. • Ability to travel locally throughout the assigned service territory.

Preferred

• Completion of an HVAC technical program or apprenticeship is preferred.
