Overview
TRC, Member of WSP is seeking an initiative-taking Senior Bridge Engineer to join our growing transportation practice in Baton Rouge, LA. For qualified candidates, we will also consider an alternate office location in New Orleans, LA.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on LA DOTD bridge projects, be a team player, and be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with planning, designing, and overseeing bridge engineering projects, such as the inspection, load rating and design of new bridges and bridges to be rehabilitated.
Responsibilities
• Participates in the design of new bridges as well as bridges to be rehabilitated. • Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates. • Be involved in all project aspects including inspection/load-rating/design, site/field visits during construction, shop drawing review, and be able to work independently. • Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. • Ability to supervise and mentor entry level staff and be responsible for entry level staff job tasks. • Ability to provide QA/QC on design calculations, design plans, inspection report, load rating calculations and reports etc.
