Role Purpose
• Ensures compliance for capital projects with local regulations, GAAP accounting principles, and Corning policies and procedures. • Ensures compliance with OCS-specific policies and procedures. • Ensures required capital reporting and forecasting are completed accurately and on a timely basis, and provides ad hoc capital analysis for division management. • Responsible for the Capital and Project Expense portions of the budget and five-year planning process for the Division. • Supports the plant leadership team with financial analysis required for investment proposals and appropriate requests for product line expansion or cost reduction. • Leads annual capital audit preparation and presentations to OCS, COC, and Corning leadership. • Supports project teams with spend tracking, Appropriation Request (AR) preparation, and ad hoc issue resolution and analyses. • Leads and supports digital initiatives related to capital processes. • Maintains strong business partnership relationships with groups outside Finance, including the OCS Capital Management Team, OCS Project Management Organization (PMO), Capricorn COE, Technology, Global Supply Management (GSM), and Division Engineering.
