This is for an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.
Location: Position may be filled at Akron, OH; Greensburg, PA; Reading, PA; or Fairmont, WV locations. Position is currently remote but may work at or visit a facility based on business need.
The position will consist of being part of the Construction & Design Technology team focused on enhancing software and technology surrounding unified cost, schedule, portfolio, and equipment & materials management capabilities. In this position, you will partner with users across the company to provide high value product increments to the Construction & Design product.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and operate vendor applications primarily focused on Construction & Design applications such as Oracle OPPM, Unifier, P6, Hexagon EcoSys, and SAGE Estimating. • Design, configure, and support integrations across the application portfolio. • Learning and understanding the business processes associated with supported applications. • Developing technical designs that meet business needs and support the company’s IT direction. • Properly leveraging the correct technology for the defined requirements. • Creating and executing comprehensive unit test plans, developing test cases, assisting with integration, and completing system test plans. • Developing clear documentation for completed products. • Investigating and resolving problems with supported applications in a production support environment. • Solving complex problems and troubleshooting functionality for issue identification. • Learning electric utility transmission related business processes. • Becoming proficient software developer on the supported software applications and related tools. • Consistently delivering high-quality results. • Managing source code repositories, builds, and deploys • Active participating in a collaborative work environment • Availability to work flexible hours to support our application portfolio • Frequent interaction with business owners/stakeholders to gather requirements for new development projects, assist in defect resolution, etc.
