We are seeking a Dental Assistant to support students and staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
• Assist staff and students across a broad range of dental treatments and procedures. • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, which includes maintaining dental equipment and preparing equipment for sterilisation. • Ensure smooth clinic operations under the direction of the Dental Assistant Team Leader. • Provide administrative and reception support as required. • Stay updated on industry developments through ongoing professional development.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will hold an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience. In addition, you will have:
• An Australian Dental Assistant qualification or recognised equivalent. • Current CPR/First Aid Certification from a recognised provider. • Current Queensland Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
In addition to the above, you will demonstrate:
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills. • Ability to work under supervision and contribute to efficient clinic operations. • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail. • A commitment to patient care and student learning.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full-time position based primarily at Griffith University’s Gold Coast location.
The successful candidate will be required to work across various shifts and departments within the Dental Clinic to meet operational needs. Shift times may include 7:30am to 3:30pm, 9:00am to 5:00pm and 11:30am to 7:30pm.
As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
