This position focuses on providing hands-on personal care, assisting with daily tasks, and supporting a clean, safe environment for residents in a long-term care setting. As a Nurse Aide, you will perform the following duties:
• Resident Support: Assist residents with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and report changes to nursing staff • Personal Care: Help residents with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, feeding, and restorative activities • Safety Practices: Apply safety devices, record vital information, and support resident mobility and monitoring • Unit Assistance: Prepare beds, manage linens, collect specimens, maintain cleanliness, and restock supplies • Room Maintenance: Support clean, organized resident rooms and address safety concerns with supervisors • Resident Orientation: Assist with admissions, transfers, introductions, and organization of personal belongings

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
• Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week • Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), and 3rd shift (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and be required to work every other weekend. • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. • DMVA is pleased to announce the launch of a Nursing Referral Program, promoting the hiring and retention of nursing staff at Pennsylvania’s veterans homes.
