Live In Care Assistant

What you’ll do

As a Live-in Care Assistant, you’ll support your client to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own home.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care and support with daily routines • Offering companionship and emotional support • Driving the client to appointments, activities and social outings • Planning, preparing and cooking suitable meals • Supporting with medication where required • Shopping and completing light household tasks • Helping the client remain as active and independent as possible • Providing reassurance and support throughout the placement

You must be comfortable in the kitchen and able to plan and cook a range of nutritious everyday meals based on the client’s needs, dietary requirements and preferences.

What we’re looking for:

To apply, you must:

• Be female, due to the client’s personal care requirements • Hold a full UK driving licence • Be confident and willing to drive the client as required • Have at least six months of care experience gained in the UK • Be able to work a minimum two-week live-in placement without returning home • Be willing to travel to placements across the UK • Be confident planning, preparing and cooking meals • Have the right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship • Be compassionate, resilient, reliable and comfortable working independently
