Job Description
Responsibilities include achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the Theisen’s Brand, products and/or related services. The sales representative is responsible for contacting and securing new business accounts and customers, both for business-to-business relations and brick and mortar locations. This position requires travel (some weekends) within territory, and to shows and other events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field • 3 years of outside sales experience • An equivalent of combined experience and education will be considered • Valid driver’s License with a clean driving record • 80% Travel required
Key Responsibilities
• Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with prospective and current customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business • Drive revenue through outside sales by demonstrating products and services to existing and potential customers and assisting them in selecting those best suited for their needs • Track and maintain a customer database with up-to-date contact information • Research and analyze the territory/market to seek out prospective customers and determine their potential value • Develop clear and effective written presentations, proposals, and quotations for current and prospective customers • Promote the Theisen’s Brand customer service through community involvement with a minimum of 12 Brand representations • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, stores, purchasing, accounting, and logistics • Identify advantages and compare company’s products/services by highlighting features, benefits, and pricing • Provide reports to Purchasing and other members of management regarding customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas • Travel to and participate in trade shows, conventions, and company related vendor training programs • Perform other tasks as assigned
