Deployment Architect - Buying Experience (24-month FTC)

This role is based in our 5 Howick Place office.

As Deployment Architect for the Buying Experience (Lead to Cash) Workstream of our OneInforma programme, your role is to design a strategy and framework (with supporting artefacts) that enables deployment of the Buying Experience solution to a collection of businesses in a scalable, repeatable way, encompassing readiness assessments, localisation changes, change management, testing and go live activities. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, experience with complex transformations, and the ability to balance standardisation with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of the overall strategy including phasing, sequencing, and deployment models • Determine the optimal rollout sequence across businesses based on complexity, dependencies, and risk • Create decision frameworks for standardisation vs. customisation approaches • Define configuration management strategies to handle business-specific variations • Design rollback and contingency strategies for each rollout phase • Quantify resource demands and timings to inform execution planning • Formalise an appropriate governance approach and decision-making processes • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements • Establish testing strategies including UAT, integration, and performance testing • Continuously review performance and refine framework to improve performance, reliability and quality

What Makes this Role Exciting

This is a rare chance to help steer a multi‑million‑pound transformation at a FTSE 50 company - work of real scale and consequence. The programme is ambitious and high stakes but you’ll be at the centre of a global change effort, balancing a clear central mandate with practical, on‑the‑ground execution across divisions. It’s a platform to step into a large programme-focused role, navigate risk, shape strategy, and turn decisions into outcomes visible in the business and to customers.

You’ll gain meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders, sales leaders, and operations, with tangible impact on the buying experience and Lead‑to‑Cash, grounded in the cyclical and physical realities of the events business. You’ll build credibility by setting clear direction, enabling teams, anticipating issues early, and maintaining healthy, constructive tension to keep momentum.

You’ll also be well supported - with strong sponsorship, a collaborative peer network, and room to grow. Expect to define the strategy, refine a global business readiness playbook, deepen your change leadership, and deliver achievements that accelerate your career.
