Your Impact

The Vertex R&D and DTE Sourcing Co-op is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or master's degree in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, communications, business operations, project management, or a scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, or physics) with an interest in business. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our R&D & DTE Sourcing functional area and serve as a launchpad for your career.

What you will be doing:

The Vertex R&D and DTE Strategic Sourcing team is seeking someone who has an interest in Sourcing or Procurement. The individual should be able to multi-task, be process oriented, feel comfortable and confident interacting with different stakeholders and have excellent excel/analytical skills. The Strategic Sourcing department strives to deliver value, improve financial performance and drive returns for the business in the strategic sourcing of goods and services through proactive analysis and understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), strategic engagement with our internal business partners and external suppliers and by educating the organization in Procurement and Sourcing best practices.
