Senior Digital Product Designer

Job description

In a nutshell

• Senior Product Designer (IC3) • Internal • Location: Lille • Timing: ASAP

Context & project

Decathlon’s mission is to bring people together through sport and make wellbeing accessible for all. To align this mission with planet boundaries, Decathlon relies on In-Store teammates who embody the human touchpoint between our brand and our customers. This is exactly where your mission comes in: designing simple, efficient in-store experiences that make our teammates' lives easier, enabling them to be as effective and impactful as possible with our customers. Within an omnichannel context, your mission will be to combine operational excellence with user needs, bridging the gap between operational requirements, business objectives, and technological opportunities.

Digital plays a pivotal role in the quality of the connection built during moments shared between customers and teammates. How? By ensuring every In-Store Decathlonian works in an efficient and adapted environment that seamlessly supports their daily tasks.

Your mission

In this context, we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to level up our game on our famous In-Store Checkout. Checkout is that highly unique touchpoint for our customers who know our stores well. It offers a wealth of topics to tackle: friction, fluidity, autonomy, but also up-selling, authentication, and loyalty. It is one of our most signature experiences, well known by our customers.

As a Product Designer, you will join a cross-functional team (Product, Engineering, Business, etc.) and have the responsibility to design the future of the In-Store checkout, while continuously improving the living experience.

Ready to design the store checkout of tomorrow? Want to craft a memorable experience that leaves as lasting an impression on our customers as our automatic item detection? Join us!

Role & responsibilities

As a Senior Product Designer, you will act as a key partner with cross-functional product teams to

• influence and enlighten decisions, whether long-term strategy, quarterly roadmaps or day-to-day tactics • ensure that we identify and tackle the most relevant opportunities • explore & de-risk solutions that are desirable… but also viable and feasible • build long-term impact (outcomes) rather than features (outputs)
