Inclusive Design Specialist

Nordic Investin is recruiting an Inclusive Design Specialist on behalf of one of our partner companies. You connect user evidence, service realities and product constraints to create experiences that are clear, inclusive and valuable.

The partner is strengthening its capability in inclusive digital experiences shaped with disabled and diverse users. You will take responsibility for work that connects accessibility research, WCAG and assistive technology, while ensuring that design reviews and training receive appropriate discipline. The objective is progress that colleagues can use and leaders can evaluate.

The design function values evidence, critique and close collaboration. Success means making complexity understandable and enabling better choices.

How you will work

You will join a multidisciplinary team and move between discovery, design, delivery and learning after launch. The partner expects assumptions to be made visible, prototypes to answer real questions and design decisions to remain understandable when they reach engineering and operations.

This role calls for subject-matter depth and practical ownership. You will be expected to recognise when a decision needs wider expertise, make trade-offs visible and move work forward without creating unnecessary process.

What you will do

• Own the practical direction for inclusive digital experiences shaped with disabled and diverse users. • Translate goals and constraints into a clear approach for accessibility research and WCAG. • Establish useful standards, routines or artefacts around assistive technology. • Coordinate stakeholders and dependencies affecting design reviews. • Use evidence and measurable outcomes to improve training. • Strengthen knowledge sharing, decision quality and sustainable ownership across the team.

What you will bring

• Relevant experience delivering inclusive digital experiences shaped with disabled and diverse users in a demanding environment. • Strong working knowledge of accessibility research and WCAG. • Practical experience applying assistive technology and design reviews. • Ability to assess risk, priorities and trade-offs involving training. • Evidence of clear stakeholder communication and dependable end-to-end ownership. • Professional English and the judgement to work with sensitive or business-critical information.

Experience that would add value

• Experience from public services, banking or large digital platforms. • Exposure to governance in a cross-functional environment. • Swedish language skills or experience working across Nordic organisations.

A background that can succeed here

You may come from a product company, agency, consultancy or public service. Your portfolio should explain the problem, contribution, evidence and outcome. Direct experience of inclusive digital experiences shaped with disabled and diverse users is valuable, while adjacent experience counts when it shows transferable judgement.

What makes the opportunity interesting

You will work on consequential journeys where careful discovery can influence priorities, not simply decorate decisions already made. The focus on inclusive digital experiences shaped with disabled and diverse users gives the role a clear mission and room to influence priorities and measures of success.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the opportunity before asking you to make a decision.

The recruitment conversation

Nordic Investin will focus on decisions you have made: the context, alternatives, result and what you would change today. You will also have room to test whether the role and partner environment are right for you.

How to apply

Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note about a relevant product, service or customer journey you improved. Nordic Investin welcomes different routes into the profession and assesses evidence, judgement and potential alongside titles.
