Senior .NET / AWS Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior .NET / AWS Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable, cloud-based applications in the McKinney, Texas area. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with .NET development, AWS cloud services, and application integration, along with a solid understanding of software architecture and cloud-native solutions.

Experience in the life insurance industry and familiarity with Resonant are preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.

Position Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable applications using .NET technologies. • Design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services. • Lead and contribute to application and system integration initiatives across platforms and enterprise applications. • Develop and support APIs, REST services, and other integration components to enable reliable data exchange between systems. • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technical options, and deliver effective solutions. • Contribute to application architecture, technical design decisions, and long-term technology strategy. • Promote software engineering best practices, including clean code, reusable components, testing, performance optimization, security, and reliability. • Support deployment automation and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members, as appropriate. • Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience, including strong hands-on expertise in .NET technologies. • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, or deploying solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). • Experience with relevant AWS services, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, and Amazon API Gateway. • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting application and system integrations using APIs, REST services, messaging, or related integration technologies. • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, application integration, and cloud-native development principles. • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
