Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Sparrows Point, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location. • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and directing individuals according to site requirements. • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed. • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access. • Document daily activities, incidents, and access control concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience. • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. • Customer service experience is preferred. • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
