Job Description

As a Security Officer Shopping Plaza in Salt Lake City, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns. • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures. • Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report suspicious behavior, property concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel. • Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. • A guard card or license is preferred. • Customer service experience is preferred. • CPR certification is preferred. • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
