Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson - SCI Benner Township

This position supports the daily operations of the SCI Benner Township laundry plant by leading inmate workers in production tasks and maintaining a safe work setting. The role helps ensure smooth manufacturing processes and proper oversight of tools, materials, and workflow. As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will perform the following duties:

• Inmate Training: Teach production methods, safe equipment use, and proper work practices • Workplace Safety: Maintain a secure environment, conduct searches, and oversee tool and supply control • Production Monitoring: Use SAP to track orders, materials, shipping, and purchasing needs • Process Evaluation: Review production records, assess workflow, and recommend equipment or process improvements • Operational Support: Assist with related duties that help maintain effective factory operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40-hour work week • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,036.00 (before taxes). • You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or • An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.
