Dedicated Steel Account
Experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers handle specialized stainless-steel freight on an operation built around dedicated outbound loads and productive loaded returns. Freight originates near Calvert, Alabama, with deliveries moving throughout the United States before available backhauls route drivers toward Alabama for their next dedicated load.
Pay is $2,000 to $2,100 per week, with a weekly 34-hour reset and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers.
Outbound Loads & Return Freight
The primary customer ships smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets on 48-foot flatbed trailers. Most freight is live loaded and live unloaded.
After an outbound delivery, available flatbed freight is used for the return movement rather than relying on an empty trip back toward the account.
• Backhauls may include lumber, insulation, or other flatbed commodities • Approximately 75% of loads require tarping • Lightweight six-foot drop tarps are supplied for the account • Tarp compensation is included in the compensation program
Weekly Operating Schedule
Home time includes a 34-hour reset each week. The specific day depends on the driver's delivery location and the return freight available for the trip back toward Alabama.
Because the reset may occur during the week, Saturday or Sunday home time is not guaranteed.
Flatbed Equipment
Drivers operate assigned newer-model Kenworth tractors paired with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers. The equipment is configured for the steel freight handled on the account.
• 12 winches and straps • Two lightweight six-foot drop tarps • Account-specific securement equipment
Drivers remain with their assigned equipment while operating on the account.
