Founding Account Executive - North America, B2B
About this role
The Role
This is our first sales hire in North America, and you’ll be building the business here from the ground up. No inherited territory, no legacy pipeline: just a proven product, a wide-open market, and full backing from global leadership. You’ll sign our first U.S. karaoke box venues, prove the model works here, and close the marquee deals that put KaraFun on the American map.
This is a hands-on, in-the-field role. Most days you’ll be finding karaoke box owners, booking demos, walking into venues to open the door yourself, and getting contracts signed. Every deal you close shows us what works in the U.S., and you’ll turn those wins into the playbook we use next.
What winning looks like in your first 12-24 months: our first U.S. karaoke box venues signed and live, flagship accounts that other venues want to follow, a growing pipeline with strong win rates and clear revenue visibility, and KaraFun recognized as the leading karaoke solution for U.S. venues.
What You’ll do
• Hunt and close karaoke box venues across the U.S. & Canada, from independent karaoke room owners to multi-site operators • Personally lead outbound from day one: build pipeline, pitch prospects, demo KaraFun Box and Stage, and close deals • Land high-profile beachhead accounts that build credibility and unlock national opportunities • Build growth partnerships with distributors, operators, and ecosystem players • Read the market fast: create early traction, validate product-market fit, and adjust the strategy based on real-world feedback • Own your numbers: pipeline, close rate, and U.S. revenue targets • Report regularly to leadership on traction, learnings, and the next big opportunities
What We’re Looking for
• 8+ years in B2B sales, with a first experience building or scaling North American sales operations • Entrepreneurial appetite: a genuine, current drive to build something new, whether that means opening up a market, launching a commercial venture from scratch, or turning an untested idea into a working business. Past experience of doing this is valuable, but what matters most is the energy and ambition to do it again here. • True hunter instincts: you love the chase, live in your pipeline, and close with conviction • A proven closer in the field: you’re comfortable walking into a venue, running a demo on the spot, and leaving with a signature • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills • Experience selling into hospitality, entertainment, restaurants, venues, or similar ecosystems is a major plus; Bonus points for experience in entertainment tech, SaaS, or subscription models • You thrive in a high-growth, resource-light, entrepreneurial environment
