• Location: Fort Lee, VA 23801 • This position offers an hourly wage consistent with the CBA agreement with Public Service Employees Local Union 572 Liuna, AFL-CIO, beginning February 27, 2026 that outlines the following: • Hourly job rate is $18.50 • Pension benefit of $1.80 for each hour worked • Health and Welfare Benefits rate of $7.75 for each hour worked (up to 40)
A Day in the Life of a Janitor/Custodian at CW Resources:
• Start your day by checking in with your supervisor and teammates to go over the cleaning plan and what needs to be done that day. • Grab your cleaning supplies-like mops, brooms, vacuums, and disinfectants-and load up if you need to. • When you get to your assigned area, you'll get started by: • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the floors • Taking out the trash and putting in fresh bags • Cleaning restrooms, refilling supplies, and wiping down tables, chairs, doors, and more. • Dusting furniture, shelves, and vents. • Wiping windows, mirrors, and glass doors. • Before finishing your shift, you'll walk through the area one last time to make sure everything looks clean and neat. • Finally, return your tools and supplies to the storage area and get ready for tomorrow.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
• Willingness to learn new tasks and follow established procedures. • Ability to work effectively with teammates and supervisors. • Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude. • Ability to stay focused, follow directions, and consistently perform assigned duties. • Valid Real ID (a federally compliant state-issued driver's license or identification card marked by a star in the upper corner) • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access. • Ability to provide all required documentation necessary to obtain access to the CDC facility and other secure work locations as required by the contract.
