Area Coach
About this role
AREA COACH
Welcome to KFC. Home of the real ones.
We sell the world’s best chicken. We’ve done it for a long old time — since 1939, when the idea of
finger lickin’ good chicken popped into our Colonel’s head. Now, we proudly serve 1000+ communities across the UK and Ireland, bringing the grit, pride and iconic reputation that started in Kentucky all those years ago.
People who are original. Individual. Fresh. We come to work to be ourselves, and to make something of ourselves. We bring the graft and the laughs every day — building our own community, as we serve our original recipe chicken to the ones we’re in.
In our place, ambition grows. Careers build. Potential goes further. Our doors are open, and they can take you anywhere.
If you join our team, we only ask one thing. That you be you.
Because that makes us, us.
Sound good? Great. Here’s more about the job.
About the role
As an Area Coach, you'll lead a group of restaurants to deliver standout results across People, Customer, Sales, and Profit by coaching, challenging, and growing your GMs. You’ll mix strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, building high-performing teams and setting a culture that’s worth following.
What will you spend your time doing?
• Lead from the front – You’ll support and challenge a group of Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) to deliver on the big four: People, Customer, Sales, and Profit. • Drive the strategy – You’ll set clear goals, help build the game plan, and keep everyone focused on what really moves the needle. • Spot commercial opportunities – You’ll have your eyes open for ways to grow sales, improve margins, and make every restaurant run smarter. • Hire smart – You’ll guide the hiring process to make sure we bring in top talent who get our values and want to stick around. • Grow future leaders – You’ll spot rising stars early and back them with the right development so they’re ready when it’s their time. • Hold the standards – From product quality to customer experience, you’ll audit what matters and act fast when things slip.
What we love from you:
• Commercial edge – You’re not just about operations; you understand the business side, and you know how to drive results. • Big picture thinking – You see how everything connects—from head office to the kitchen floor—and you can guide others through the same lens. • Lead with heart – You care about your people, not just the numbers. You bring authenticity, values, and humanity to the role.
