Events Intern

At ELIA we're looking for an Events Intern to join our team.

The Opportunity

Join ELIA as our next Events Intern! Gain hands-on experience organising international events that shape the future of higher arts education. Based in one of Amsterdam’s vibrant creative hubs, you’ll work alongside a passionate team delivering impactful, hybrid and in-person gatherings for students, educators, and leaders across Europe. This internship offers a dynamic, creative environment where you’ll sharpen your event production, communication, and technical skills, while contributing to projects like ETHO Technical Community Meeting 2027, ELIA Academy 2027 and PIE Internationalisation Community Meeting 2027. If you’re organised, proactive, and ready to make your mark in the arts education sector, this is the role for you.

Organisation Profile

ELIA is Europe's leading multi-disciplinary network in higher education and research. Powered by over 280 members, we are a globally connected knowledge community for peer-learning, international collaboration and advocacy. ELIA’s work includes the organisation of international events, the facilitation of cross-institutional working groups, participation in research and innovation projects, and the publication of influential policy papers. Based in Amsterdam’s creative hub, A-Lab, ELIA is a member association funded through the Creative Europe programme. Our work culture is open and participative, with a focus on key outcomes and continuous learning and development.

Candidate Profile

Are you interested in developing online, hybrid, and in-person events for the higher arts education sector? Would you like to experiment, support, and co-create events for students, academic staff, and leadership teams? ELIA is looking for a driven Events Intern to assist in a variety of practical and logistical tasks associated with organising upcoming ELIA events, both online and in person. The Events Intern should have some experience in event management and the ability to work independently. Excellent organisational skills and a proactive attitude are a must. Experience with digital events and video production is preferred.
