We are currently looking to hire a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!
• Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. • Schedule: Full-time (No Weekends required), 1 hour lunch breaks • Location: 2626 Del Mar Heights Rd B, Del Mar, CA 92014, USA
Qualifications
• Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California, license must be active and in good standing. • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment • Passion for working with animals and their owners • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint • Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills • Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories • Perform basic exam procedures • Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) • Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning • Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting, and extractions (preferred) • Comfortable with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) • Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); in-house laboratory equipment • Ability to utilize ultrasound to obtain diagnostic images and urine samples (preferred) • Excellent client communication/education • Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
